A rare vintage set of 4 chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen of Denmark from 1953 in teak
The model 3101 was designed in 1952 by Arne Jacobsen at the age of 50
That makes these chairs a very early production 
They are also characterized by the 3 legs that were changed to 4 in the mid to late 1950s 
These chairs are in extremely good vintage condition for their age
They have been dismantled and the metal has been cleaned with wire wool and waxed
Traces of the original green paint is still visible 
The legs have new black shoes that increase the seating height to 45cm 
The teak seats have been lightly sanded by hand to remove as many scuffs and scratches as possible and then waxed
The finished result is amazing for mid century chairs that are nearly 70 years old.
